Feliz Natal - Merry Christmas - Joyeux Noël

Essa tanka foi feita a pedido do Dalai Lama. Segundo Arnaldo Bassoli, que partilhou a foto dessa obra, tal gesto do Dalai Lama foi uma resposta às questões que frequentemente lhe são colocadas sobre as diferenças entre os ensinamentos tibetanos e cristãos. Mensagem: por trás das formas a essência é a mesma.

A tanka - informa o blog Mattstone - foi oferecida pelo H.H. Dalai Lama ao Frei Lawrence Freeman, o monge beneditino que coordena a Comunidade Mundial para a Meditação Cristã, em dezembro.1998.

This thangka was made on the Dalai Lama's order. According to Arnaldo Bassoli who shared with us this photo, the Dalai Lama ordered it made to answer questions that people frequently bring to him in regard with the differences between Tibetan and Christian teachings. The message is: behind different forms, one same essence.

According to the text found in the blog Mattstone, this thangka was offered by H.H. Dalai Lama to Friar Lawrence Freeman, the Benedictine monk coordinating the World Community for Christian Meditation, in December 1998.

Ce thangka a été dessiné à la demande du Dalai Lama. D‘après Arnaldo Bassoli qui nous fait partager cet ouvrage,  l’intention du Dalai Lama était de donner une réponse aux questions qui lui sont posées très souvent sur les différences entre les enseignements Tibétain et Chrétien. Le message : au delà des formes, l’essence est la même.

Selon les informations publiées dans le blog Mattstone ce thangka a été offert par le H.H. Dalai Lama au Fr. Lawrence Freeman, le moine bénédictin qui coordonne la Communauté Mondiale pour la Méditation Chrétienne, en décembre 1998.
